360 Liposuction in Thailand
Circumferential body contouring is not simply “more liposuction”. It is a connected design around the abdomen, waist, flanks and back — with a larger recovery footprint, more variables to compare and a greater need to know exactly what a provider means by “360”.

“360” describes a direction around the body — not one universal operation.
360 liposuction usually refers to circumferential contouring of the trunk. In practice, one clinic may mean the upper and lower abdomen, waist and flanks; another may include the lower back or bra-line area; another may divide those regions into separately priced zones. The label sounds precise, but the surgical boundaries are not standardised.
That matters when comparing treatment in Thailand. Two packages can both say “360 liposuction” while describing different areas, different operating times, different anaesthesia and different aftercare. Before price means anything, ask for the proposed treatment map in writing.
The aim is usually to improve the transition around the torso rather than reduce one isolated pocket of fat. A surgeon assesses the abdomen from the front, waist from the side and back from behind, looking at how each region connects. Existing asymmetry, skin elasticity, muscle separation, previous scars and visceral fat can all change what liposuction can realistically achieve.

The surgeon is contouring a three-dimensional torso.
A smooth result depends on more than the amount removed. The surgeon is judging fat depth, skin quality, natural curves, the position of the waist, the transition into the hips and the balance between the front and back. Aggressive removal in one region can look unnatural if neighbouring areas are left untreated or if the skin cannot contract as expected.
360 liposuction does not repair separated abdominal muscles and does not remove large amounts of loose skin. It also does not remove visceral fat around internal organs. If skin laxity is a major part of the concern, a tummy tuck or another body-contouring operation may be a more relevant discussion. Some patients are offered combined procedures, but that changes the scale, risk and recovery of the operation.
Standard liposuction and 360 liposuction: what actually changes?
Targets one or several defined areas. The treatment may be relatively localised, depending on the patient and plan.
Plans the torso circumferentially so the abdomen, waist, flanks and back can be considered as one connected contour.
Addresses excess abdominal skin and, where appropriate, abdominal-wall issues. It is a different operation with a longer scar and different recovery.
May pair liposuction with skin excision or another procedure. More surgery is not automatically better; suitability and total operative burden matter.
The correct comparison is not the marketing name. It is the exact tissue being treated, the areas included, the surgical method, the facility, anaesthesia, aftercare and recovery plan.
Compare the whole operation, not a headline package price.
A low advertised figure can be difficult to interpret if it excludes anaesthesia, garments, medicines, facility charges, follow-up or some of the areas you thought were included. Ask for a written quote tied to a written treatment map.
Your quote should clarify
Named surgeon and operating facilityEvery included treatment areaAnaesthesia and expected settingCompression garmentsMedication and routine reviewsAny tests or preoperative assessmentPolicy for additional or revision careWhat is explicitly excludedThe device name is not the treatment plan.
Providers may describe traditional suction-assisted liposuction, power-assisted systems, ultrasound-assisted technologies or other energy-based approaches. These can be relevant technical details, but they do not replace the fundamentals: appropriate patient selection, an experienced surgeon, careful fluid management, sensible treatment limits, good contour judgement and suitable monitoring.
Ask why the proposed technique is appropriate for your anatomy and what the surgeon expects it to improve. If a device is presented as producing guaranteed skin tightening, scar-free surgery or a dramatically easier recovery, ask for a more realistic explanation of limitations and risks.

Remote screening
Share accurate health information, photographs and goals. A remote opinion is useful for planning but does not replace examination.
In-person assessment
The surgeon confirms areas, skin quality, asymmetry, technique, anaesthesia, risks and whether the proposed scope remains appropriate.
Procedure
The operating plan should match the consent and quote. Ask how long the surgery is expected to take and what monitoring is provided.
Early recovery
Expect swelling, bruising, tenderness and garments. Walking, wound care, hydration and medication instructions matter.
Review & travel
Keep enough time in Thailand for scheduled checks. Your treating team — not a generic package timetable — should advise when you are fit to fly.
When the treatment wraps around the torso, everyday movement feels different.
Swelling and bruising can affect the front, sides and back. Getting in and out of bed, sitting for long periods, wearing clothing and managing a compression garment can all be less convenient than expected. Arrange accommodation where you can rest comfortably, access food and medication easily and reach the treating facility without a difficult journey.
Compression protocols vary. Ask what garment is required, whether a second garment is useful, how it should fit, when it can be removed for washing and how long the surgeon expects you to wear it. Do not improvise with very tight garments because someone online used them.
Early walking is commonly encouraged, while strenuous exercise and heavy lifting are usually restricted until the surgeon clears them. Recovery is not a race to look finished: swelling can distort the contour for weeks, and refinement can continue for months.

A larger contouring field deserves a serious risk conversation.
Liposuction risks can include bleeding, infection, fluid collections, contour irregularity, asymmetry, changes in sensation, pigmentation changes, persistent swelling and the need for additional treatment. More serious complications can occur, including blood clots, pulmonary complications, fluid imbalance, anaesthetic complications and injury to deeper structures.
The individual risk profile depends on health, smoking or nicotine exposure, medication, previous surgery, the extent of treatment, anaesthesia, operative time and other factors. Ask what safety limits the surgeon uses, how they decide whether to stage treatment, what emergency support is available and how complications are managed.

Verify the people and place, not just the before-and-after gallery.
Ask for the surgeon's full name, relevant qualifications, professional registration and experience with circumferential liposuction. Confirm where the procedure will take place, what level of facility it is, who provides anaesthesia and what arrangements exist if you need observation or unexpected additional care.
JLIT's role is to help you organise the comparison and verification process. It does not replace the surgeon's clinical assessment or independent medical advice.

360 Liposuction in Thailand FAQs
What is 360 liposuction?
It generally means liposuction planned around the circumference of the torso, often including some combination of abdomen, waist, flanks and back. The exact included areas vary by provider, so obtain a written map.
Is 360 liposuction the same as a tummy tuck?
No. Liposuction removes selected subcutaneous fat. A tummy tuck removes excess abdominal skin and may address abdominal-wall issues where appropriate. They can be combined in selected patients, but they are different operations.
Is it a weight-loss procedure?
No. It is body contouring. It does not treat obesity and does not remove visceral fat inside the abdomen.
Does it tighten loose skin?
Skin may contract to varying degrees after fat removal, but significant laxity may remain. Skin quality should be assessed before deciding whether liposuction alone is likely to meet the goal.
How much fat can be removed?
There is no responsible universal target. Safe scope depends on the individual, areas treated, operative setting, anaesthesia and other clinical factors. The surgeon should explain the limits used in your case.
Will I need a compression garment?
Many patients are prescribed compression, but the garment and duration vary. Follow your surgeon's protocol.
How painful is recovery?
People commonly describe soreness, tightness, swelling and tenderness. Circumferential treatment can make movement and sleeping awkward initially. Your team should explain pain control and what symptoms are not expected.
How long should I stay in Thailand?
There is no single safe duration for everyone. Stay long enough for the reviews your surgeon requires and obtain individual advice about flying.
When can I exercise?
Walking is often encouraged earlier than vigorous exercise. Return to training should follow the treating surgeon's instructions.
Can 360 liposuction be combined with fat transfer?
Sometimes, but adding another procedure changes the plan and risk profile. Discuss the proposed technique, destination of transferred fat, safety approach and recovery in detail.
How do I compare prices in Thailand?
Compare like with like: exact areas, surgeon, facility, anaesthesia, garments, medication, reviews and exclusions. A headline price without scope is not a meaningful comparison.
When will the final contour be visible?
Early swelling can conceal the result. Contour usually becomes clearer progressively, while residual swelling and tissue settling can continue for weeks or months.
