COMMON QUESTIONS

Inflation calculator FAQs

Is this a guaranteed forecast?
No. It is an illustration based on the assumptions entered. Actual inflation, investment returns, exchange rates and lifestyle costs will vary.
Why does a small inflation rate make such a large difference?
Inflation compounds over time. A modest annual rise applied repeatedly can materially increase future monthly and annual costs.
Should I use Thailand inflation or my personal inflation rate?
Headline inflation is only a starting point. Housing, healthcare, education, travel and imported goods may rise at different rates, so personal spending patterns matter.
What does purchasing-power loss mean?
It shows how much less the same nominal amount of money may buy after inflation has reduced its real value.
Why estimate capital required?
The estimate converts the future annual spending gap into an illustrative capital target using the withdrawal rate you enter.
How often should I review the assumptions?
At least annually, and whenever your retirement date, city, lifestyle, income, savings or major costs change.
Important: This calculator provides general planning estimates only and does not constitute personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Results depend entirely on the assumptions entered and actual outcomes will differ.
