The strongest version of this weekend mixes energy and quiet. Spend Friday around Sai Kaew, use Saturday to move south and onto the water, then finish at Ao Prao or a viewpoint before a slower Sunday morning.

For Pattaya residents, Samet is one of the highest-return short breaks on the eastern seaboard. You travel far enough to feel away, but not so far that Sunday becomes a transport day.
